In South Waziristan, beneficiaries have experienced delays due to insufficient banking facilities and logistical constraints. To resolve these issues, BISP has implemented mobile banking services and streamlined payment processes to reach these remote regions efficiently.

New Banking System Tackles Payment Delays

BISP, in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), has introduced the “BISP Sahulat Accounts.” Beneficiaries can now access funds directly through these accounts at local branches of participating banks. The system, piloted in Karachi and Lahore, is set to expand nationwide.

To enhance accessibility, six banks are now managing cash disbursements for BISP. These include Bank Alfalah, Bank of Punjab, Mobilink Microfinance Bank, Telenor Microfinance Bank, Habib Bank Limited, and HBL Microfinance. This expansion ensures improved service delivery and minimizes delays.

Important Update on Benazir Kafalat Registration

Beneficiaries must update their information at Tehsil offices through the dynamic NSER survey. This includes biometric verification to ensure eligibility for the monthly stipend of Rs. 13,500 under the Kafalat program. Registration can also be tracked online via the 8171 web portal.
